The Embody Gratitude Project 2015
Nurturing Joy through Embodying Thanks
a 6-week online course for YOU!
Begins on Sept. 21, World Gratitude Day.
I’m deeply excited to offer this beloved online course and share these powerful practices with you!
“Your job is to maximize your own kindness, happiness, and health.”

Not an intensive time commitment, not something that will keep you in your email box or at your screen for a huge amount of time, but hugely inspiring little doses of wisdom which can change your life in surprising ways. (Click here to read comments from some 2014 participants.)
- Without exception, every person I interviewed who described living a joyful life or who described themselves as joyful actively practiced gratitude and attributed their joyfulness to their gratitude practice.
- Both joy and gratitude were described as spiritual practices that were bound to a belief in human interconnectedness and a power greater than us.
- People were quick to point out the differences between happiness and joy as a difference between human emotion that’s connected to circumstances and a spiritual way of engaging with the world that’s connected to practicing gratitude.”
“In daily life we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful but gratefulness that makes us happy.”

What’s the format?
- Each Monday you’ll receive an inspiring lesson (audio and/or video format) guiding you to explore cultivating gratitude in an embodied way throughout the week.
- Each Wednesday you’ll receive a brief reminder – a concentrated dose of inspiration. I call it a shot of gratitude espresso.
- Each Friday you’ll receive an invitation to reflect in a specific way on the week’s practice. (Studies show reflection is actually the most important part of the learning process.)
Each of these Embodied Gratitude Encouragements – the lessons, the reminders, the inspirational photos, wisdom quotes, gorgeous poems – will live in the online course website. The main lessons will be in both audio and video format. You can download the audio to iTunes to listen to while you walk, drive or do the dishes. (I like to make it easy to access without having to spend a ton of time at your computer.) You can download all the lessons to your computer or just leave them on the site and stream them there. There they will remain for you to access any time you like, for years. In addition, the course website has space for community interaction which you can participate in as much or as little as you like, and you don’t even have to touch Facebook with a 10-foot pole. :)
How much does it cost?
The 6-week course is just $97 and you have lifetime access. Yay!
What do I need to participate in this e-course?
All you need is the ability to hop online with a decent connection a few times a week. While it’s very easy for even non-techy folks to navigate, the course webpage has tech-support available to help you anytime you need it. You also need the willingness to experiment with ways you pay attention in your daily life. Sense of humor is always helpful. And if you like to reflect through writing as I do, you might enjoy having a journal handy. Easy peasy!
How do I register?
I’m so glad you asked! Just click right here to pay with paypal.
Don’t like to pay online? Email me (erin@embodimentmatters.com) and I’ll send you my address where you can mail a check.
You’ll receive your first lesson on Sept. 21st, World Gratitude Day. I can hardly wait!
“I hope that you too
will say a word of thanks
for such creation
out of the wholesome earth,
which would be, and dearly is it needed,
a prayer for all of us.”
– Mary Oliver

I’ll close this invitation with my favorite disclaimer.
I like to quote Zen teacher Cheri Huber and tell you:
“This course will teach you nothing you don’t already know, it asks for all the enthusiasm and attention you can muster, and it’s 100% guaranteed not to improve you at all.”
How’s that for salesmanship? Oh well. I want to be totally clear that the intention for this course is not to improve you. (I don’t think you need fixing. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with you.)
My intention is simply to offer a hugely inspired dose of support and encouragement along with powerful embodiment-based practices so you can explore the art of paying attention to your world in ways that will inevitably increase your joy and well-being. As you are. As it is.
I hope you’ll join me!
xo
Grateful,
Erin
