Embodied Essentials: Ground, Center and Breath

A weekend immersion (our last of 2012)
October 27-28 9:30-5pm each day
at Vitalize Studio in Sugarhouse
2154 s Highland Drive

We’re thrilled to have a whole weekend to explore three of the most important somatic principles and practices to support a vibrant, embodied life:

  • Your connection to the ground
  • An ability to move and live from your center
  • A sense of freedom in your breath

Though each of these three topics could easily fill it’s own weekend workshop, (or a life’s path), we will get a good immersion over the weekend. One from which you can harvest benefits for years to come.

Whether it is in running, sitting, practicing yoga, watching a political debate, working at the computer, playing music, having a conversation…learning to cultivate an awareness of the support of the ground, the presence of a dynamic center, and a free, responsive breath, can help make these activities much more pleasurable, satisfying, efficient, pain free, and gives access to an embodied wisdom that is much smarter than anything we could think.

At this time of year when the pace of life tends to quicken and it is easy to become ungrounded and spread too thin, the lessons and principles we’ll explore provide a wonderful return to inner-nourishment.

If your own aspirations for the fall include some of the following:

More mindfulness, more relaxation, better health, clearer awareness and attention, a more flexible body and mind, greater creativity, better balance (inner and outer), less effort, less pain, less pressure, and much more pleasure – we hope you’ll come join us in cultivating the conditions which allow all these things to blossom in our lives. With ease.

We have had many enthusiastic conversations this month as we’re fine-tuning our plans for our weekend immersion. We’re so excited to be offering a deeper experience of the transformative power of this incredible work. Though we have a lot of beautiful lessons and experiences to share, we’re crafting a schedule which allows plenty of space to digest all the learning. We think you’ll be amazed how much you’ve learned and changed by the end of the weekend.

We do still have space available so if you’d like one, please see the link below where you can register.

Here’s a sketch of our schedule for the weekend:

9:30-11 intro and movement lessons
11-11:30 break
11:30-1 movement lesson & discussion
1-2:30 lunch break
2:30-3:30 movement lessons
3:30-4 break
4-5 movement lesson & discussion

We have found for ourselves that the learning goes so much deeper when done in the context of an immersion, such as a whole week, or a whole weekend. We’re thrilled to be stepping up to offer this kind of opportunity, which we’ve been so blessed to enjoy in our own studies, right here in our own community. Does one of the spots have your name on it? Click below to register. We can’t wait to see you there!

$175 for the whole weekend

$100 for Saturday only
